It is important to understand how the power of speech reveals itself. When a speaker takes the stand at a conference, all eyes are upon him, everyone's attention and thoughts are focussed on him. As such, a very powerful link is created between the speaker and his audience. Of course, if he then proceeds to put forward anarchic ideas, if he incites his listeners to anger and hatred, this link can be nothing but harmful. But let us suppose the speaker is a wise man, an initiate; in his perpetual desire to unite human beings with the world of light and love, the unity he creates between himself and his listeners as they watch him, enter his thoughts and commune with him takes on a greater dimension as it becomes truly creative. All speakers should be aware of this fact and so begin to understand what miracles they are able to perform through the power of speech.
