Work, spiritual - do not speak about our own, but wait for it to bear fruit; the image of the tree

Each day, plough, sow and water your inner soil, and do not ask others to notice the work you do. If you do your work with awareness, one day everyone will have to recognize and appreciate it, for the laws are true. Imagine a gardener has just planted an extraordinary, unique seed in the soil and is so happy and proud of it that he or she wants everyone to know. So every time visitors come, this gardener digs up the seed to show it to them and says, ‘You see? I sowed this. Have a good look at it; in a while it will produce a very special tree with delicious fruit, and you will be able to have some…’ Clearly, that’s the end of the poor seed, in no time at all. You may well laugh. But many spiritual people tend to do this: they dig up what they have only just sown to be sure that others know what a magnificent tree they are growing. This is the best way to kill it. You should not take the seed out of the soil. Wait, and everyone will see the tree itself appear and begin to bear fruit.
