There have always been exceptional people who have served as examples to others through their goodness, their generosity, their intelligence or their integrity. Perfection, however, is another matter. Perfection in human beings implies the ideal development of their intellect, their heart, and their willpower, and this is very rare. We meet remarkably intelligent and learned people who have no love for others, or those who are full of love but have no willpower, and so on. Throughout life we see beings who are totally remarkable in certain respects but who are greatly lacking in others. This is why, if you want an image of perfection, you must turn to the sun. By its light the sun reveals to us that it is all knowing; its warmth speaks to us of its inexhaustible love; and the life it brings to the universe is the outpouring of its omnipotence.
