In all walks of life you meet people who manifest such …

In all walks of life you meet people who manifest such precocious talents they are considered prodigies. But there’s a simple explanation for this. Those who have worked in a past life, who have exercised their artistic, intellectual or scientific gifts long and patiently, return in their present incarnation with faculties they are able to manifest at a very young age; and while it takes months and years for others to learn a language or an instrument, for example, they themselves make dazzling progress. They have sown, they have planted, and now they are harvesting the fruits of their work. There is a story about how a young man went to see Mozart one day and asked him for advice about writing symphonies. Mozart looked at him and replied, ‘You are still very young, you should begin by writing minuets’. ‘What do you mean? I am very young? You, yourself, had already written symphonies by the time you were twelve!’ ‘Yes, but I never asked anyone how to do it.’ There lies the difference between those who have worked in a previous incarnation and those who haven’t yet really begun.
