Never say, ‘I know all about this, there’s nothing else for …

Never say, ‘I know all about this, there’s nothing else for me to learn or understand!’ For that is the worst possible attitude for your evolution; when you think like that you stagnate, and that’s it. The right attitude to have is to tell yourself each day, ‘Ah, today I’m finally beginning to understand! Yesterday, I was still pretty unclear’, knowing you’ll say exactly the same thing the next day. So many people, for example, think they know what love is! In reality, they scarcely know the first degrees of love, its first manifestations, and they imagine they know all about it! That is why they are sluggish, dull and disillusioned. Love has millions and millions of degrees, and each day you should experience some of these and say to yourself, ‘My God, yesterday I thought I knew what love was, but I can see I knew nothing about it. Only now am I beginning to understand’… and the next day you must tell yourself the same thing.
