You will only be happy once you manage to find the place …

You will only be happy once you manage to find the place where you truly belong. ‘Place?’ you say. ‘What place are you talking about?’ Here, the word ‘place’ has several meanings – element, country, house, job, role, ideal. We often see people wandering aimlessly without ever settling down. They have not found the place where they belong; they have no roots and are always unhappy. They need someone to come along and place them in fertile soil where they can start to take root. Until then, they are like seeds in a loft, waiting to be sown. When a seed is put in good soil, it grows and bears fruit. It says, ‘Ah, this is where I belong.’ Its place was not in the loft, in danger of going mouldy or being nibbled at by mice. What each of us needs now is to be sown, to be planted in spiritual soil.
