Christmas Time - A cosmic Event
"During the course of a year the sun passes through four cardinal points, and each of these four periods is marked by a tremendous input and circulation of energies whieh affect the earth and its inhabitants: plants, animals, human beings and even to other planets. Initiates, who have studied these phenomena thanks to their extremely well developed faculties, tell us that if humans are attentive and receptive to these current, great transformations can take place within them. This is why Initiates gave a number of methods for humans to receive these currents.
During most of the year man and nature are both very active but, as winter approaches, many kinds of work are brought to a halt, the days grow shorter and the nights longer; the time is ripe for meditation and recollection; it is time for men to enter into the depths of their own being and make things ready for the birth of the Child. The night of the 25 december is the longest night. From this date, nights grow shorter and days grow longer. There is more light, more warmth, more life, and this reflects an all creatures. On December 25, what is important, however, is that this is the moment at which the Christ-Principle, the Light and Warmth which is destined to transform all creatures, is born in nature, and that at this moment Heaven itself is celebrating the Feast of the Nativity. All the choirs of Angels sing their joy, and all the Saints, great Masters and Initiates rejoice together, praying and giving glory to the Almighty, as Christ is born in the universe."
